Britney Spears is back on the promotional circuit as her new album, Femme Fatale, approaches its release date on March 29. This means the usual round of magazine interviews with controversial statements about sex and possibly even a faked court case for some kind of serious/actually-not-serious crime. Along with these interviews we've also got the mandatory photoshoot, and here we have Mario Testino's recent offering for V Magazine.

The general consensus with these pictures seems to be that Britney is back to her old, super-seductive self. However, while we agree she certainly looks good, it's hardly a revealing shoot is it? What we can gather from these pictures is:

a) She still has a back

b) Cats look good with a blue filter

c) She's got lovely hair

We know that everyone loves Britney and we do too, but seriously, if people are going to say she's 'back to her old self' we're going to need something a bit more than this. Or perhaps we're just a bunch of Philistines.
