Ah, this is a tale of romance to gladden the heart... The cage fighter, Alex Reid, that Jordan was reported to have "bedded" last Thursday is apparently still in a relationship.

Jordan took the fighter back to her hotel on Thursday in Liverpool after a book signing and the fighter's girlfriend is said to be devastated.

Friends of Marie Thompson, the girlfriend, who is a mum of three like Jordan, told the Mirror:

"They were childhood sweethearts, but Katie has been chasing him for a while and it looks like he has caved in.

"Marie had a feeling that something was going on after she found text messages on Alex’s phone.

"Katie has known Alex for the past year after being introduced by a mutual friend. Alex reassured Marie they were only friends. I don’t think Alex thought that he’d fall for her and who knows if he has? It could just be the novelty of it all.”

Marie apparently last saw Reid, who used to be in Hollyoaks (what a catch!), at his 34th birthday nine days ago when Jordan gazumped her by buying him a £4k watch and possibly a car as opposed to Marie's socks and aftershave.

"Marie bought Alex aftershave, socks and a kickboxing game for his PlayStation for his birthday. The latest we heard from Alex was that Jordan has bought him a car.

"No wonder his head has been turned, Marie can’t compete with that."

You're best off without him love...

Jordan's spokesman has insisted that Reid is just friends with the model and acting as a "bodyguard". Extremely close protection presumably.

The pics of Reid are from a Judgement Day fighting event at Wembley in 2007, we're not sure why there are topless girls there.

EDIT: Now she's apparently wants to marry him as soon as her divorce is through. What is wrong with this woman?
