We didn't realise it was possible to end a relationship without it ever actually existing properly in the first place. Bradley Cooper and Renée Zellweger never confirmed the reports they were going out, but now the tragic news has broken that they have split up, without them actually confirming that either - which just makes things all the more confusing. This isn't exactly a groundbreaking announcement, then, so we'll just have to leave it at: 'unofficial couple in unofficial split'. Sound good to you lot?

We had barely noticed, but rumours have been floating round for almost two years that Cooper and Zellweger were an item. The pair were co-stars on Case 39 back in 2009, which was inevitably going to lead to stories of them sexing. But apparently they have in fact been properly dating - like holding hands and kissing each other on the lips and stuff - since August 2009. 

That's quite a long time. Twenty whole months, to be precise, during which they were only pictured together a couple of times - dining out in California, going to the cinema in Hollywood and kissing in Spain. Those two could teach Katie Price a thing or two about private relationships.

Anyway, US Weekly today reports the pair to have split, despite having absolutely no proof or quoted source whatsoever. Do not fret, though, there's a joke coming up...
