After bidding goodbye to Chastiy (and titty) officially last year, Cher's now-son Chaz Bono made an appearance on the Oprah Winfrey show to chat about his transition from man to woman...

Chaz rather bravely revealed pretty much everything to Oprah in a show that aired in the US last night... Apparently he's glad his breasts have gone, although he won't be getting a penis. No idea what he's about to do with that orange though ^

You should read Gender Outlaws by Kate Bornstein, or Juliet Jacques' column in't Graun, Stells. They're both really interesting accounts from two (very intelligent and politically aware) MtF trans people.

I'm not sure if it's society's problem, their problem, or if its a problem at all. It's a really complex area.

Anyway, that was heavy, even for us. Errr, bum bum poo poo plop plops.

Sorry. Never had any truck with people messing physically with their gender characteristics. But I have more of an issue with a world that makes them feel like they have to do this shit. And ultimate sadness that those that want to do this shit and go through all of that are not seeing that it's their society's problem, not theirs. So hard heart I'm afraid. Boo.
