All things considered, we may have been a little harsh on Cheryl Cole in the past. We're not saying it was totally unwarranted, considering we're still having difficulty pinning down exactly how having a soft, strokeable face qualifies her to do what she does, but in her defence, she's only been in court for aggravated assault once and since then she's been a model citizen. A model citizen, guys and girls. Can you say you've all been model citizens? Can you all say you've only been in court for assault once? In fact, are there any of you out there who aren't on the run/currently poking your ankle monitor with a screwdriver?

No. Exactly.

Of course, in the Tweedy family, it's her brother who has been nothing but a rascal and a fiend. Apparently Andrew Tweedy thought it was a good idea to stroll into a Post Office in North Tyneside, wave a gun and a machete at customers and staff, empty the tills and run away with thousands of pounds. This landed him with a six year stretch in Durham prison.

However, being the enterprising lad that he is, Andrew Dufresne-Tweedy (and yes, we know it was Red who did it in the film) thought that he might as well make a bit of cash while he was in there, and has been attempting to sell autographed pictures of his sister (via The Daily Star):

“Tweedy is bragging he can get his sister’s autograph and the price is 50 quid.”

 

“All the lads love Cheryl but few can afford it.

 

“For a prisoner £50 is a fortune. He may as well be asking 20 grand.

 

“Lads here will trade anything for an easy life or cash for cigs. No-one’s seen a copy and he might be full of hot air. But if he is selling them I don’t think Cheryl would be impressed.’’

There's as usual no way to check the veracity of this 'source' bar actually popping into the prison ourselves (which if we keep publishing stuff like this may be sooner rather than later) so we'll just have to leave it up to you to decide the exact truth content. Having said that, we'd certainly like to believe it's everything it claims to be...
