It's not that bleak!

Following on from yesterday's news that Christine Bleakley and Frank Lampard are set to get married, the Daybreak presenter has revealed that she cried for ten minutes after the proposal. Obviously that was only at the thought of John Terry bothering her though.

Despite being on annual leave, Christine Bleakley called her Daybreak co-host Adrian Chiles from a restaurant toilet this morning (evening in LA) to gush about her marriage proposal - allegedly not whilst sat on the loo, explaining that she "cried for about ten minutes" when Lampard popped the question. She also added that the Chelsea player became "a bit lovey-dovey" in the days leading up to his proposal during their holiday in Las Vegas and LA, before "he pulled the ring out and said 'Will you marry me?'"

"I’m so giggly - we kind of feel l like we’re on cloud nine, in our own little bubble and it feels a bit surreal. I’m shocked and surprised, but we’re ecstatic."

She can't be that shocked - the news of the proposal was leaked last week.

Anyway, her story was cut short as there was a knock at the door from John Terry. Possibly.

At least Fat Frank got to finish her dinner while she was in the loo blathering on.

  • So there will always be three people in this marriage. She don't half go for ugly blokes.

  • Bless her. She's scarily pleased. If I were Frank, I'd be gulping ever so slightly. BTW Frank - best not to buy any pet rabbits. KnowhatImeanson?

  • To be fair he would have to check each one to make sure that Lampard didn't happen to be stood next to that Alex woman, what with journalistic integrity being his middle name and all. In other news, for a splendid second I mis-read her quote as "he pulled out of my ring and said 'Will you marry me?'".
