Goodbye Glastonbury
Mon, 28/06/2010 - 10:30 by HM writer

Glastonbury gloriously ended with Dr Who actor Matt Smith joining Orbital onstage to perform the show's theme tune (sadly no sign of Karen Gillan though). And we've decided to commerate the festival the only way we know how; with a list of the very worst dressed celebrities who attended or performed over the weekend. More of Kate Nash and Paloma Faith's camel toe after the jump (you're welcome!)...

And here they are:

1. Kate Nash - Those high-waisted shorts, that crop top...

2. Paloma Faith - Leotards look creepy on grown women...

3. Florence of Florence and the Machine - see above ^

4. Nick Grimshaw - Serial offender

5. Coco Sumner - Also features in Worst Hair poll

6. Lauren Laverne - We know you're pregnant, but still...

7.Emma Watson - We don't know where to begin...

8. Pixie Geldof - Typical

9. Neil Tennant - Nice hat

10. The crocs!

  • About 50% of that line-up should serve as a poignant sad reminder that we can't have public ownership of automatic weapons

    koshmar Tue, 29/06/2010 - 19:52
  • You like Florence Welch and expect us not to call you a cunt...

You fucking, pathetic, gullible, subservient sheep of a cunt

    koshmar Tue, 29/06/2010 - 19:50
  • Glad you had a lovely time, my dear- I've been there during several 'scorchers' and it was always great. I love Stevie and wish I could have gone. Next year, maybe...

    huxylady Tue, 29/06/2010 - 17:25
  • Totally ageee Huxy and in the main part it still is that altho i think the weather itself seemed to drain the life out of the dressing up somewhat probably because most people were drinking water instead of alcohol anf that it was too bleeding 'ot!
Stevie Wonder by the way whether you like him or not is a fucking genius of a music maker and anyone that appreciates music can only be in awe of him. Star of the show by a mile.

    elbow Tue, 29/06/2010 - 10:59
  • Ugh. Well, that explains it.

    eleanora_ Tue, 29/06/2010 - 00:30
  • Oh I'm so glad she's nothing to do with Barney Sumner. I almost had to burn my New Order LPs, and that would have annoyed me.

  • Who the fuck is Coco Sumner? He/she looks like a right twat.

    eleanora_ Mon, 28/06/2010 - 22:20
  • I concur. Paloma looked and sounded sensational , she should have got the balloons to levetate her above the crowd.

    grange Mon, 28/06/2010 - 19:46
  • oh fuck off

    Lousybosomsdisplease Mon, 28/06/2010 - 15:38
  • Just got back...

Paloma Faith looked amazing she had two GIANT inflatable balloons strapped to that rhinestoned leotard and looked like she might float off in to the sky at any moment...

Florence - just mental and brilliant and mentally brilliant.

That wasn't Neil Tennant, that's one of the four dancers who kept changing outfit/look for each song.

Coco, Pixie, Nash, Watson etc - tw*ts...

But worth the trip for: Stevie, Phoenix, LCD, PSB, even Muse and of course Radiohead...

    Freakoid Mon, 28/06/2010 - 13:37
  • To remind Lily Allen how ridiculous she sounds.

    bellendercarlisle Mon, 28/06/2010 - 13:05
  • The whole fucking point of Glastonbury used to be (and still should be) that for a few days you could leave the stresses and crap of your life behind have fun dressing like a twat and acting like a twat and no-one would give a fuck as long as you all had a good time. Fortunately the endless parade of 'celebs' who mostly seem to go there to be seen don't seem to impact at all on everyone else's enjoyment.
I couldn't make it there this year but a favourite Glastonbury ensemble of mine usually involves my 60s psychedelic kaftan and I really couldn't give a monkeys chuff if anyone thinks I look stupid in it.

    huxylady Mon, 28/06/2010 - 12:22
  • Why does Kate Nash exist?

    dandyboy Mon, 28/06/2010 - 11:54
  • There's really not that much wrong with Lauren Laverne's dress. i mean, from where I'm standing, it's a nice lightweight cotton frock in a summery print. Sure, it's not going to win any awesome dress awards, or whatever, but to put that next to Paloma Faith's surgical-stocking-onesie is a little harsh.

    tescopop Mon, 28/06/2010 - 11:41
  • Paloma Faith's camel toe is not going to spark Stella's lesbian hour into life after your admission that you have no photos of Karen Gillan. Please try harder or I'll never hear the end of it.

    slug Mon, 28/06/2010 - 11:35
  • I fucking hate these twats who INSIST on wearing their wellies at festivals regardless of whether it is raining or not like it's some sort of fucking badge of honour

"But Kate Moss wore them and I've spent ages decorating and customising them so they look good with my loose white linen top, denim shorts and straw cowboy hat, I don't care what the weather is like"

    Cunts.
