What a Marvel-ously average turnout

Green Lantern was always one of our favourite comics, so hopefully the film won't let us down as much as some other conversions have in the past. Mentioning no names, PUNISHER, WOLVERINE, HULK, IRON MAN, SPIDERMAN*. Having said that, the standard at the moment seems to be pretty high; X Men: First Class was amazing, and while Thor wasn't that good it was by no means terrible (thank you Anthony Hopkins), so we're expecting good things from Ryan Reynolds. Well, maybe not expecting.

So, while we push our hopes and dreams about the film to one side, here's who turned up to the premiere in Hollywood...

Jason Bateman, Tim Robbins and Mark Strong joined Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively on the red carpet, and while Blake currently seems to be flavour of the month with casting directors all over LA, we personally can't understand why she keeps getting work. Same with January Jones for that matter. She was good in Mad Men, in everything else, she is just awful. Ruined Emma Frost in X-Men, pretty much. Surely there must be some attractive actresses who can actually act?

*Ok, some of these may have just had terrible sequels, but still, HOW DOES ANYONE RUIN A FILM ABOUT AN INDESTRUCTIBLE ALCOHOLIC FIGHTING MACHINE WITH FOOT LONG CLAWS AND SEVERE AMNESIA. Aside from Michael Bay.
