As much as we'd like to see the back of Dannii Minogue and her face that looks as though it's about to melt under the studio lights, we weren't keen on rumours that Victoria Beckham had been asked to replace her as judge on the X Factor. But now it looks like they were all made up anyway.

We weren't sure whether Posh (and her delightful skin - see above) would be able to recognise singing talent considering she used to sing into a microphone that was permanently switched off, but now we need not worry as we can confirm that the whole thing is absolutely untrue.

 

An insider told us: "There is absolutely ZERO chance of Victoria being asked to join the judging panel, no conversations have ever happened with her or her people - and they never will."

 

So now that we are able to sleep at night, we wonder where on earth this rumour could have come from... Could it be Poshs' people, on account of the fact that Cheryl Cole is now receiving more press coverage than her? Or did someone over at the Daily Mail just run the story despite it being denied by everyone? Something we would never do of course...
