Has Katy Perry become Katy Brand (*sniggers*) already? Whilst pre-recording her appearance on Graham Norton's chat show, Perry opened her mouth to breath but was unable to stop words from tumbling out which suggested that she and 'fiancee' Russell Brand were in fact already married...

Quizzed about what it was that attracted her to the long haired comedian she said:

"Life's never dull with him - That's why I married him!"

Possibly sensing more newspaper headlines and column inches emerging (She'd HATE that) Perry then quickly corrected herself and said:

"That's why I'm marrying him".

However it was too late as the audience were apparently whooping and gasping at her mistake and sounding more irritating than a thousand vuvuzelas all going off at once.

Elsewhere, Perry has continued her and Brand's relentless publicity juggernaut by claiming that her husband to be (or whatever he might be) is 'obsessed' with the World Cup.

She said:

"Everything is about football right now. It's like, when I was with him last night he was up late watching football. And he was online reading all about it and it's like, 'How much can you read?'"

Katy Perry looks set to be number one this week with her single 'California Gurls' (worst song of all time) whilst (completely by coincidence) Russell Brand's new movie 'Get Him To The Greek' is also released this week....
