Up until recently we thought Jack Bauer was the toughest imaginary person alive. He came off heroin in a day and then defused eight nuclear weapons, all the while nursing three broken limbs one of which was his head. The legend goes that Jack Bauer won a game of Connect 4 in 3 moves, is the leading cause of death in Middle Eastern men and doesn't drink honey, he just chews bees.

However it turns out Jean-Claude Van Damme is even tougher than Jack and rumours of his heart attack yesterday were vastly exaggerated. We think he probably just shrugged it off, called his heart a pussy and then reached into his chest and started pumping it himself, or something equally manly.

Anyway, here's the official statement from everyone's favourite neck, face and groin kicker:

Hours ago, I read a rumor online about me suffering heart attack!! Please, do not believe all what you read from rumors on any unofficial JCVD sites. Jean-Claude Van Damme is 100% healthy, training well for taking the fight and sending his fans & friends much love. — JCVD

Phew. There we were, worried that he wouldn't be able to make another Streetfighter. We'll leave you with a quote from the big man himself:

I've become 40, my audience is partly the same age.

No brain damage then.

  • that's good, he is to tough for a heart attack. Jean Claude-Vand Damme is one of my favorite actor of action movies. to keep in shape he still Buy Steroids. it is not bad for his age.

  • He looks like a steroid abuser, old before his time, genital atrophy and a heart the size of a basketball. Was it worth it just to look good in Speedo's for a few years? Fuck that shit.
