Despite rumours that Kanye West has fled to India to 'find himself', these pictures of him shopping at Whole Foods in California yesterday suggest that the furthest he's got is the ethnic food aisle of his local supermarket...

When the BET Hip-Hop Awards proceeded without interruption last weekend, we all assumed it was because Kanye West was hanging out with Richey Manic on a far flung beach in India (if ONLY).

A source allegedly close to Kanye said:

“Kanye might do some dumb things, but he’s smart. He knows he needs to come back from this break changed, and that isn’t going to happen at some rehab overlooking the ocean. He goes to India, he has a chance to come back seeming like he learned something from what happened.”

Well, it actually appears that he's done neither - not unless you count a trip to Whole Foods as rehab... The rapper was spotted with his girlfriend Amber Rose at a branch of the health food chain in LA yesterday. Tough luck, US citizens...

'India, I'll let you finish, but America is the best country of ALL time' etc etc etc etc etc...

My bf went to India when he was 18. Slipped and broke his arm (not diagnosed until he got home 2 weeks later as hospital said it was a sprain), caught an evil bug that meant he wasn't allowed to work with food for 3 MONTHS and was kidnapped (with friends) by a taxi-driver who said they could either give him money or go home with him and pay him and his friends some other way. Think he'd rather try and find himself in Slough than ever go back. Perhaps that what Kanye wants though? To lose 2 stone in 2 weeks and have a gay gang-bang.

Why do people go to India to "find themselves"? Why dont they just stay at home and use their brains instead? I know several people who've been to India and they all found themselves, mainly having a series of very unpleasant shits.
