Recently a story came out about the high occurrence of rape and sexual assault in the fashion world, with vulnerable girls as young as 14 being habitually assaulted and abused by photographers and designers. This is the sort of story that could actually change things, but no, it gets buried. Instead, we open the paper, turn on the news, to see Price's gob flapping "I was raped, innit". It makes my blood run cold.

I used to work in a harassment office, monitoring and pursuing real cases from sexual harassment right up to racial harassment, and I understand why some women don't report their attack. Which is what makes her claim even more despicable - she's a mouthy cunt about everything else, this is a desperate last attempt to regain sympathy after acting like a complete whore for the last few weeks.

If, and I pray to Dog that it doesn't happen, the courts give her custody of the kids because of what she is alleged to have endured, then she really is a complete shit. The non-report of rape does not make a woman a bad person. It is approximated that 60% of victims do not report the incident, for whatever reason. These victims are not doing anything wrong by not reporting it (though obviously they 'should', it's hard to apply a normal value system to such a situation.) There are lots of reasons for this, for example that over 70% of victims know their attackers in some way, or that it is a widely known fact that approx only 6% of rapists will ever serve time. Or perhaps that rape cases are notoriously difficult, and often end up with the victim being demoralised, interrogated and discredited.

Having said all that, very generally, I do not believe that this is any more than a publicity stunt, and a disgusting one at that. Katie Price is a despicable person, and I agree, Blart, scum.
