An arm and a leg - and some other stuff

Now, obviously looking like Lady Gaga doesn't come cheap - those doilies and cotton wool balls don't buy themselves, but it seems that the singer's current tour demands might have cost her more than a lifetime supply...

Just like the Emperor learnt when he purchased his new suit, Lady Gaga has found that that being, like, so avant garde doesn't come cheap.

According to The Sun, the triple Brit winner spent £2 million on her Monster Ball Tour in the US - and the UK leg is looking likely to be just as costly, mainly because she binned the entire prop department rather than getting it shipped over.

Speaking on stage on Manchester for the launch last night, she revealed (before setting fire to her piano - possibly inspired by Kasabian's Brits performance):

"We've been doing another show in the US but I got very bored and threw it away. Some girls like glass slippers and I like glass subways."

But maybe need some glass spectacles?

With a show divided into four main acts - City, Subway, Forest and the Monster's Ball, she probably could've just borrowed the Crystal Maze props from the C4 archive and no one would've been any wiser. At least she borrowed the Beetlejuice suit from Tim Burton though.
