I'm going to see Paranormal Activity later on today. In preparation for this interesting event, I looked for some pictures that would acclimatise me to visual horrors and prepare my nerves for something truly horrific. Thank you Lady Gaga.

Here is our favourite pop star kicking off The Monster's Ball in Toronto (that's in Canada geography fans).

Now, i know we give Lady Gaga a load of stick on here, but she is a great pop star - probably the ONLY big popstar the world right now.

I mean, she's that unique and that big, no-one seems to be pointing out that concert is basically Madonna's Blonde Ambition tour with fake blood and slightly uglier people.

Really ? is this true ?? Fortunately since the advent of the MP3 player I never need to listen to the radio so I don't hear much pop. Now my missus has the lady gaga album and from what I've heard of it I'd say she's a poor mans Christina Aguilera (who knew there was such a thing !). If this represents the pinnacle of pop stardom then the pop world is truly in a very sorry state.
