Peace to the world can finally be restored as we bring you the update you've been waiting to hear for the last agonising three and a half hours. Lee Ryan was not arrested by police last night (but does still have a love child) and thus the Blue renuion can still commence... *tumbleweed blows across page*

We reported this morning that Ryan had been searched and detained by plainclothes police outside the May Fair hotel, but we can now reveal that the 26-year-old was just smoking a cigarette next to a group of people who were reportedly smoking a spliff...

His mum spokesperson released the following statement:

"One of the guys in the other group was apparently smoking a spliff, hence why the police were there, so the police searched everyone outside the hotel in the vicinity. Lee was also searched, but obviously police found nothing and he went straight back into the hotel and continued his night. He then went out clubbing. Wrong place, wrong time and Lee was not arrested or involved in any way."

Mind you, he should have been banged up for life for going out like that...
