An understandably upset Lily Allen has responded to reports made by Daily Mail journalist Katie Nicholl that she was planning a wedding with boyfriend Sam Cooper to "ease" her grief over her tragic miscarriage by calling Nicholl a "c**t" and her showbiz column "shitty" on Twitter.

Lily deleted her original post in which she called Nicholl a "c**t" after Nicholl threatened her with legal action.

So Lily Tweeted instead:

"She threatened to consult her lawyer if I don't Take That Tweet down. She thinks it was too heavy handed.

"Katie Nicholl I THINK you're a c**t, leave me out of your shitty column, you know nothing about the intimate details of my life."

She added:

"There's a time and a place for your musings where I'm concerned, and it's not now."

We wouldn't want to get too involved in a matter where legal action was threatened, but WE THINK that that was definitely a c**tish thing to do...

I'm not a Lily Allen fan, granted. I actually find her annoying as hell. But even I think that, after a tragically late miscarriage, she should be left well alone to deal with things for a bit.
Also, how can someone be sued for calling someone else a cunt? If that were the case, I dread to think about the number of people with legitimate legal grounds for taking me to court.
