(Not in)ferno

Ever since it was announced back in April that Lindsay Lohan had been cast as Linda Lovelace in a biopic of the porn star's life, we've been waiting for this news to appear on the HM front page. And now the day has finally arrived where LiLo has been axed from 'Inferno', losing her last chance of ever acting again. Although you could argue she never acted in the first place... (If you don't want this news, try these pictures of Lindsay Lohan naked).

Throughout the ensuing seven months since she was handed the role, Lindsay has admitted to being a drug addict, had a drug-detecting tag strapped to her ankle and been in and out of jail more times than Calum Best has been in and out of her. Now she's stuck in rehab until at least January, it comes as no surprise that the producers have given up on her and started to look for a replacement.

If only the producers had taken the initiative like her parents and given up on her as soon as she was born...

Speaking to E! Online yesterday, the director of Inferno, Matthew Wilder, announced the sad news:

"We are withdrawing our offer from Lindsay Lohan. We are currently in negotiations [with another actress] and working out the legalities of bringing her onboard."

Amy Winehouse, anyone?

"We have stuck by Lindsay very patiently for a long time with a lot of love and support. Ultimately, the impossibility of insuring her - and some other issues - have made it impossibly for us to go forward."

And by, "some other issues", he means he has only just got round to watching 'Herbie Fully Loaded'.
