It's not like Michael Lohan to get angry at his daughter. And it's not like us to side with Lindsay Lohan. But, for once, we're going to have to stick up for the girl. Her daddy is disgusted about her new role as Deep Throat porn star, Linda Lovelace - obviously not realising that it's just a biopic and not a reconstruction of one of Linda's classic porno's...

It was announced last week that Lindsay would play Lovelace in the film of her life, titled Inferno. But her father, Michael, who never ever reacts can't resist taking a pop at his daughter's activities, has come out and slammed her decision to take the role.

In fact, when asked by US Magazine what he thought about it, he told them he DIDN'T EVEN WANT TO GO THERE!!! But then immediately followed by going off on one about it...

"Oh, I don't even want to go there! What do you think? Come on! Seriously - why? She did Parent Trap... Freaky Friday... Mean Girls... and Herbie.

 

You know what? Georgia Rule was a fantastic move. People don't give her credit for it, but that was one of her best acting jobs. But I mean, she started with Parent Trap and now this? Why?"

Perhaps she thought that, seeing as she made Parent Trap in 1998 at the age of 11, everyone might have wiped it from their memory and that she should maybe do a new, up-to-date movie at the age of 23. He continued:

"Who makes these decisions? If I was there, it would never happen, believe me. There's no way to resurrect your career after that.

 

So many people have come to me with offers for Lindsay for great family-style films, general audience kind of releases, but you know... whatever.

 

This girl is such an amazing, talented, gifted and loving person. She's been consumed by the people, the lifestyle, but you know what? Don't give up hope. I am telling you now, if she gets the help that she needs, she is going to be right back on top."

Dear God, he doesn't half talk a lot of bollocks, does he? He seems to think she's actually going to become a porn star, rather than pretend (badly) to be an old one. And anyway, she's already done the whole porn thing before... so what's his problem?
