We're not sure whether any of you out there have had your gender questioned, but we can imagine it would be pretty upsetting. Yeah, that's right, imagine. We know you might simply think of us here at HM as amorphous blobs of asexual protoplasm, churning out hatred, bile and Karen Gillan articles like an non-english speaking production line, but we're real people. Plus, if Karen Gillan actually did a bit more, we could dispense with the hate and bile and simply become a Karen Gillan Internet Resource©, the dream of any website. Unfortunately that's just a faraway dream, so in the meantime we'll just have to stick with stories about transsexual actresses.

Anyway, it's time to tell you a story all about how Liv Tyler's life got flipped upside down. It was at the Ace Hotel in Neu Yoiyk, where she had been celebrating the Target and Opening Ceremony party recently. She went outside for a cigarette, and a gentleman followed her out, intrigued at why a man would have such long hair (via NYDailyNews):

"Oh my GOD, you are beautiful," the partygoer told Tyler when she stepped outside for a cigarette. After she politely thanked him, he went on: "You're not a man! I TOTALLY thought you were a man! You look like a transsexual." Tyler looked a little confused. "I look like a tranny?" she asked. "Yes, a transsexual from Dubai!" he replied. "Wow," Tyler said. "I'll take it!"

So there you have it. Apparently even Liv Tyler looks like a transsexual in the right light, which should hopefully make us all fell a bit better about being the heavily disfigured troll-people that we almost certainly are.
