Sad news. Maggie jones, the actress who played the much loved character Blanche in Coronation Street, has died aged 75.

She was admitted to hospital for a major operation in October, but died peacefully in her sleep this morning.

RIP Blanche!

  • I haven't watched Corrie for about 5 years, but even so, this news makes me a bit sad. Mind, 75 years, pretty good innings. Especially as she caned the cigs.
