The first pictures of Matt Smith, Karen Gillan and most interestingly Alex Kingston filming for the new series of Doctor Who in Wales yesterday have been released.

It looks like the Tardis has had a fresh lick of paint - but it is Alex Kingston's presence that will have the fanboys in a froth.

She played the Doctor's wife in the last series, and gave various spoilerific hints that she would be present at his death. WHAT COULD IT MEAN?!

*calms down* I'm only interested for the benefit of my kids OK? GOT IT?!
