Mel Gibson has been accused of attacking a fan at a nightclub when the so called fan tried to take a photo of the actor and his pregnant girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva.

"Mel looked so happy and in love. However, things went sour when a Life & Style reporter posing as a fan tried to snap a picture of Gibson and his girlfriend. His security team immediately took the camera and deleted the pictures.

"The pushy reporter did not stop there as she sent her friend to take another picture. That's when Mel stepped in and attacked the clubgoer because he was fed up with everyone trying to snap a photo of him partying. A source said: "Mel approached the guy who tried to take his picture and ripped his shirt."

We feel for Mel a bit on this one. This is going to be reported everywhere as him attacking a "fan", but it wasn't a fan at all, just the mate of some scurrilous gossip hack out to get a story (well done on that, btw).

The pic of the "fan" is blurred, but maybe it was Oksana's ex Timothy Dalton? He doesn't look too happy when meeting her, the couple's kid and Mel in LA last month.
