Jackson laid to rest tonight

Michael Jackson will finally be laid to rest tonight in a ceremony at LA's Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The service is expected to be attended only by family and close friends. 

Jackson will be buried in a gold coffin and his final resting place will be in the Park's Grand Mausoleum.

Some reporters were surprised by the family's decision to inform the public of the funeral arrangements, which means security around the grounds will be in force. The grounds have already been shut to visitors for 24 hours.

The cemetery already hosts the corpses of stars including Clark Gable, Sammy Davis Jr and Errol Flynn.
