While cops raid Michael Jackson's personal doctor's house looking for evidence to lay manslaughter charges, there are other sinister forces looking to hurt the singer even after he's died - well there are if you believe the National Enquirer.

The magazine is wildly speculating claiming that Jackson's mum Katherine is scared that criminal gangs could steal Jackson's body - which is yet to be buried - and demand a ransom.

A source told the National Enquirer: "Michael's mother Katherine is probably living in fear someone will steal his body and thinks there is no place on earth her son can be safe."

Do you see the operative word there? "Probably".

They added: "There are fears organised criminals will steal his body and try to hold it for ransom. There are a lot of desperate people out there who believe Michael's corpse would bring a king's ransom."

There are also fears that "hardcore" fans from Latin America could be planning to steal the remains and take them to South America. For what exactly?

Another source added: "Michael had a massive following in Latin America. We've heard there's a gang plotting to fly to Los Angeles, steal the body, then take it back to their country and keep it for themselves."

Yeah and we've heard that magazines sell more copies when they make stuff up (websites NEVER do see).
