Barton was removed from her home in LA last month after calling the police with "medical issues."

It was later reported that the 24-year-old actress was placed under involuntary psychiatric hold following a suspected overdose but she was released within a few days and was back on the set of US show, 'The Beautiful Life'.

And now Barton is putting the whole 'episode' down to the removal of her wisdom teeth, which was a procedure so "terrible" that she still hasn't fully recovered...

She said:

"I had to get through it without proper painkillers because I couldn't take those during work. So it's been a nightmare."

 

"I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once."

Sorry, we'd stopped listening...

But the pain continued and she added:

"I was down in the dumps about everything there for awhile…I got completely stressed out and couldn't handle everything, and now I feel really in control."

"The funny thing is, if all this happened in New York, no one would care. New York lets you be who you are, and people aren't as judgmental. I'm so glad to be back here."

Hmmm, back to Lindsay Lohan and those missing jewels...
