Well that time of year has come around again when we can all get together and celebrate the vast array of extremely talented musicians in Europe at the MTV EMAs. Or at least we could if there were any non-American acts there. Apparently the EMAs are another reminder to us Europeans that Operation Overlord was not a freebie. 

Anyway, as you can see from the pics above, there was no Gaga this year, which was a shame as the closest anyone else came to psychiatric evaluation was Ke$ha with a dress made entirely by 13 year old maths students who'd only just been allowed into the pen cupboard.

Otherwise the event saw Russell and Katy Brand being so unbelievably smug it would warm even the most cynical of  hearts, Plan B looking like he'd turned up to pay a speeding fine, Taylor Momsen dressed as a Transylvanian hooker, Jared Leto and 30 seconds to Mars, one of whom seemed to hilariously have a mobile phone stuck to his face, and Shakira, who looked decidedly plain. The burden of having such honest hips has weighed heavily on her we think.
