DJ AM Funeral
Thu, 03/09/2009 - 11:16 by Harry Bow

Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein is put to rest at a ceremony in Los Angeles attended by celebrity friends

We were all hoping that it was just a stunt pulled by the Final Destination marketing team (Robert Pattinson survived last month's death rumours), but Adam 'DJ AM' Goldstein was laid to rest in LA yesterday at a funeral service attended by former fiancée Nicole Richie and close friends Travis Barker and Joel and Benji Madden.

The crowd were seen gathering at the Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary in  Los Angles for the Jewish ceremony and a memorial will follow today at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.

E! Online is reporting that an invite for the event reads:

“The format of the evening will be in the style of an open 12-step meeting,”

According to court papers, although Goldstein had an annual gross income of $3.5 million and property valued at $400,000, he had a debt of $2.9 million. The filing, which states that Goldstein had no spouse or children, also includes that Goldstein was in the process of selling a home in Los Angeles before his death.

  • The suicide of DJ AM wasn't something that anyone really saw coming. He was only 36 years old, he was relatively famous, successful, he had everything going for him, and they've been speaking to anyone who will discuss it that knew him. He was dating model Haley Wood at the time, and though it would seem that a person should perhaps be left to her grief – the vultures are what they are, and had to get a statement. Haley Wood disclosed that rumors that DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, and her were very much together, and a rumored breakup was a detestable rumor. It would be great if someone could give the gossip hounds a cash advance to let celebrities, like Haley Wood, grieve in privacy.

  • Just a fucking little.
If a poster on the board made a 'dead joke' he'd probably get himself a bad taste warning or a ban.
Cause "thats not the type of thing I want here"
