Not much of a buzz

It's all gone a bit tits down for Pamela Anderson recently - that Joe Swash documentary, fashion-launch attended by 20 people, panto season etc - and now her most recent advert has been banned because of some crazy 'feminists' bloggers...

Pamela Anderson recently filmed an advert for the crazily named internet domain company Crazy Domains, which sees her breaking all stereotypes by playing a smart businesswoman who, oh, strips-off to reveal a gold bikini and have milk poured over her by male colleagues.

Obviously this wasn't going to wash well with the oh so liberal folk of Australia, so the advert was promptly banned by the nation's Advertising Standards Bureau after hundreds of complaints were logged, leading to Crazy Domains' managing director, Gavin Collins, blaming "feminist bloggers" for deliberately stirring up controversy.

Oh Collins, it's not just feminist bloggers who don't want to see Pam in her swimwear...

Anyway, it's not all bleak for the Baywatch star - she just signed-up to appear on Dancing with the Star (US equivalent to Strictly Come Dancing) alongside Buzz Aldrin, Nicole Scherzinger and Kate Gosselin, which means she can trade her swimsuit for a, erm, leotard!

No word on whether she'll be paired with professional Dancing with the Stars and Cheryl Cole break-up 'partner' Derek Hough though...

  • Why was it banned? I'm a woman and I wash all the time. I even use soap. No-one bans me. What a nightmare for the manufacturers - all this free publicity. Tch. I bet no-one saw that coming.

  • So it was in no way intended to be controversial, Gavin, to give the big old Aussie thumbs up to an advert which seems to be advocating punishing your boss by covering her in your metaphorical jizz cos she's a lady boss and we all know that's just all wrong to have a woman in charge? If you, Mr Collins, didn't want controversy and this was an innocent and entirely unforeseen reading of your marketing material which those pesky women have worried their little heads about, can I suggest you are a cunt?
