Pamela Anderson finally made it on stage at the New Wimbledon theatre as Genie in their panto production of Aladdin. I don't remember panto being like this when I was a kid...

All I seem to remember was people like Christopher Biggins dressed up as Vanessa Feltz, or Keith Chegwin peddling bouncy balls for a fiver in the break, or The Krankies poking out the mind's eye of 300 kids every night for a month.

Well, Pamela Anderson has changed all that. There were concerns she wasn't going to show up, but show up she did.

She's playing the Genie, who appears as if by magic when you vigorously rub something. Hmmm...there's a gag there somewhere, I just can't quite put my finger on it.

The only thing this pantomime will get a lad in is an uncomfortable sitting position,

A lad in, Aladdin. Oh come on, it's nearly Christmas.

nb. 'Slaggy Genie' is the new 'Slutty Santa' - they'll all be at it next year. Mark my words.
