Doherty was one of four people questioned on Friday.
The body of aspiring film-maker Robin Whitehead, part of the Goldsmith dynasty, was found in a flat in east London. She had been making a documentary about Doherty and footage she had filmed allegedly showed the Babyshambles singer and others taking heroin and smoking crack in the flat.
Peter Wolfe, 41, who discovered Whitehead's body and the owner of the flat Gill Samworth, have both been arrested on suspicion of attempting to pervert the course of justice, having denied that she had been taking drugs prior to her death. Wolfeman had reportedly claimed that the pair had done nothing stronger than Twinings tea...
Doherty, who was recently spared prison for driving offences only to be arrested as he left court after 13 wraps of heroin slipped out of his coat pocket only to be pardoned again with another fine, has been released on bail until April.

1: When he finally runs out of money, he will undergo an extensive and very public rehabilitation which will involve lots of tabloid coverage about him changing his life and repenting. He'll get paid lots of money for this and go back on the drugs again.
2: When he eventually dies in some disease-ridden squat surrounded by used needles and piss stains, thousands of misguided fans will make a pilgrimage to the place of his death seeking some sort of direction in their wasted lives. Record companies will leap on the bandwagon, releasing compilations of his music which will involve a brief revival in popularity before everyone in the country realises at the same time how utterly shit his music was and enters into a sort of embarrassed pact never to mention it again.
