Pixie Geldof's band play gig for Levis video - Adele's pants remain unshitted in

Why did we not know Pixie Geldof was in a band before now? Why did we not see this video of their gig before now? Why? WHHHY? Nevermind - here's the video from a couple of weeks ago along with some pics from Violet's gig last night.

*pushes glasses up nose* So what did we all make of that?

 

Let's start off with the positives. It is not the worst record ever made in the world. Richard Ashcroft - don't worry, that will always be with you. Having said that, if you had to describe what you thought Pixie Geldof's band would sound like without having heard them - you would quite easily get it bang on.

 

Sadly, and I'm not just saying this for the sake of it - Pixie's voice is the worst thing in it and given the fact the band are playing the riff from Suede's crappy Film Star' over and over again - that's saying something. I guess it's meant to be PJ Harvey-ish but Polly sounds as though she's angry with the world - not just her dad.

 

Anyway, ignoring the fact that Levis have made this video (ZOOM IN ON THE GUITARS! THE HIPSTERS! THE KIDZ!) to sell a pair of jeans meant for someone born way after Back to The Future 3 was released, what do you think?

  • I will be continuing to purchase my jeans and other denim items from George at Asda. He's the guy with the learning disabilities who does the trolleys. We've trained him to nick stuff and then sell it to us for 50p at the end of the car park. By 'it' I mean that's the jeans and stuff. Not sex. He's gross. Not cos he's got learning disabilities. Just he's old and butt ugly. I'll shut up now. (And no, Cleaver, not forever or for very long at all.)
