Vevo, the new online music video service from Universal and Sony, launched in the states yesterday, and they made sure the big guns were there to help celebrate.

Mariah Carey was there with her husband Nick Cannon (He still has the grin of a lottery winner), Rihanna turned up looking overjoyed and happy to be there( having forgotten to wear a shirt), Taylor Swift was there too. They even wheeled out Shania Twain, wooden leg not in shot (Old Skool gossip).

But what is Vevo? Well according to Vevo it is "creating an MTV for the digital age, a site where all the lastest and archived videos can be found". Youtube then.

Great stuff! Lets have a look!
