Russell Brand has been holidaying with Katy's Perry's evangelical parents and they're still approving of their potential son-in-law, so long as he keeps moving 'towards the light' as opposed to moving back 'towards the darkness' (i.e stops having threesomes, shagging about, doesn't win The Sun's Top Showbiz Lothario (and that's fairly prestigious) for the fourth year in a row, etc).

Pastors Keith and Mary Hudson were joined by Katy and Russell in Austria, where Keith gave Brand a copy of the book 'The Cry' (described to "release the desperate longing for God's intervention in your life") in exchange for Brand's autobiography "My Booky Wook" (detailing a life of drugs and prozzies).

And Mary said:

"Russell must go towards the light and not towards the darkness, Only God can take the very worst person and turn them around for good."

 

"You just have to see how the Lord's will is done. I mean, how many times have your kids disappointed you so profoundly that you wanted to get up from the chair and knock them out?"

Er, we'd rather not answer that question...

Keith added:

"Russell's really got a hunger for the supernatural. He's got a real spiritual hunger."

When are these two going to break up? It's only been two months and we're bored already...
