Rather than attend his funeral, Corey Feldman marked the day his best-friend and co-star, Corey Haim, was laid to rest by getting a tattoo in his honour.

Feldman, the other half of The Two Coreys, was not invited to Haim's funeral ("a small, private affair") but managed to find his own way to pay tribute to his friend. The pictures show Feldman emerging from an LA tattoo parlour having just had the sentimental emblem carved into his arm.

Explaining the reason for the tattoo, Feldman said:

"On the day of his funeral I felt like I should mark him on my body forever... now we're matching."

Apparently the tattoo depicts a hot air balloon, featuring the name of his son, Zen, being lifted into the clouds. You're probably wondering what that has to do with Corey Haim. We'll let the living Corey explain for himself:

"The basket's got my son's name in it. And then I'm putting his eyes underneath it, so it's kind of like his eyes are lifting up the basket which is going into the clouds."

A bunch of flowers usually does the trick, but each to their own, eh?
