US Celebrities weren't going to let Simon Cowell and Subo have all the fun - just as they did in 1985, they're recording a charity single after we came up with the god damn idea FIRST.

But putting petty transatlantic spats aside, it's for a jolly good cause etc, so we can't really criticize.

Although I swear to god if Amber Rose is singing on the thing I will personally kick Lionel Richie a new arsehole.

Lionel has re-united with producer Quincy Jones (with Lady Gaga's guy Redone giving it some 'beats' for the 'youngsters') and rather than Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan et al they've got Nick Jonas, Celine Dion, Jamie Foxx, Miley Cyrus and Jeff Bridges to record on the 25th Anniversary of the original recording. For some reason they recorded it at Kermit Frog's house.

Wait, what? Jeff Bridges? They should have let him sing the whole thing! Dude is amazing. My money is on some schmaltzy bit where they put Michael Jackson's original bits over the top of it.
