V Festival 2010 - to music what Bella Magazine is to the Pulitzer Prize whacked into Chelmsford and Staffordshire yesterday. If you're the type of festival goer who likes drinking hair cider whilst watching a woman flick herself off in front of a tuba band playing Tim Buckley, you're out of luck. If however you like buying a Starbucks whilst watching Peter Andre honk his way through a backing track - YOU'RE THE LUCKY WINNER! Thanks god for Karen Gillan (the lovely Karen Gillan).

OK I may be being a bit harsh, but not much. It isn't really the kind f event you go to if you are a massive fan of music or indeed festivals - indeed one of the main reasons it gets such a high quota of celebrities is because the "Louder Lounge" (the VIP bit) is just crammed full of free stuff like Toni and guy giving haircuts and makeovers and massages and shit like that. 

We went in there one year and watched Jack Tweed get kicked out (magnificent) and got woken up at 2am by Rupert Grint wearing a sombrero (not so magnificent).

Anyway, if watching Capital FM live on stage is your thing - have a look at Taylor Momsen managing to hide her tampon string and various other warblers help Virgin sell phones and rough men sell Oregano for £30 an ounce. Short skirts were the order of the day, so it wasn't all bad.
