Because of the law of probability, dramatic news always breaks at Christmas time. Unless something else happens in the next five hours, this is as big as it's going to get on HM before the 28 December (not counting Ross Kemp falling over, of course); Adam Lambert has been jailed and arrested after getting into a fight with his boyfriend in Helsinki. Will he be bailed before Sunday? Probably not worth watching this space, but it's nail biting all the same.

According to reports, the American Idol runner-up got into an altercation with his Finnish boyfriend Sauli Koskinen outside a Helsinki club called Don't Tell Mama. It's claimed onlookers tried to intervene but Lambert turned on them too. Apparently him and Koskinen were both arrested and taken to separate jails, with a source saying:

"Both Lambert and Koskinen were arrested and are at this moment still currently in jail. They are being held in different jails: Adam in Pasila police station and Sauli in Töölö."

Lambert will be popular in jail.
