£40 million says otherwise

If there's one person who knows more about celebrity than your average celebrity, it's Danielle Radcliffe (see how we cleverly emasculated him there?). He's been on the circuit for 10 years, and he's only 22. Remember what you were doing at 22? Crying for extended periods as you realised the space program wasn't ever going to accept you now? No, us neither.

Daniel Radcliffe however, has no interest in being an astronaut. None at all. The closest thing he's ever come to the moon is ...wait for it.... SHOWING HIS BARE ARSE ON STAGE! No, but seriously, he hates being a celebrity (Via The Hollywood Reporter)

“There are, obviously, upsides to it, but I'd say the upsides, for me, are the upsides that come from my job rather than from the whole celebrity aspect.

“I mean, celebrity is horrible – that's the truth… it's a ghastly, vile thing.”

But why, Dan, why?

“I think celebrity is an unfortunate by-product. Most actors hate being called celebrities, but we are – we have to accept that, you know – and we have a public image, and all that stuff.

“But, yeah, it's something that, on the whole, we'd rather not have to worry about.

What a joker, calling himself an actor. Whatever next, cats sleeping with dogs? Cheesecake with mustard? Anyway, he continues, explaining that despite the awful time he's had being a celebrity, £40 million isn't too bad as compensation:

“Ultimately, yes, absolutely. Because I've had a pretty OK time… I've had 10 years of amazing training – amazing life, you know?

“And I'm still going. So, you know, I think that if you just keep the focus on the work and don't get suckered in by that stuff, it's possible to maintain.”

Did you all get that? Don't get suckered in by celebrity, instead, concentrate on what you're really good at. Essentially, do as he says not as he does.
