Should've booked a cab on his BT smartphone. Jane's going to flip. Domestic violence highly likely. The son's already dealing weed on the side, now the daughter's going to get pregnant.

Kris Marshall, now best known for appearing in some adverts, a few scenes in 2003 rom-com and a BBC sitcom, got given a driving ban yesterday after he was arrested while sleeping in his car in Castle Cary, a place that only tolerates drunks for one weekend a year (the last one in June).

According to reports, police found the actor in his Jaguar in a Tesco car park just after midnight. Because the key was in the ignition (hot and fresh out the kitchen) and he smelled of alcohol, they arrested him on suspicion of being drunk and in charge of a vehicle. It's claimed he later tried to avoid properly carrying out a breathalyser test by saying he had asthma.

Yesterday in court, he got ten points on his licence, which earned him a six-month ban as he already had three points for speeding and another three pending for using a mobile in his car.

However, Geoff West, chairman of the bench at Yeovil, Somerset, told him:

"We have some sympathy with you."

Yes, so do we. Deep sympathy.

It is a bit of a bummer if all he wanted to do was have a kip in his car though. Classic Adam.
