It seems every time Mel Gibson goes to court, he comes out smiling. And though he’s doing more of a squeaky-fart-face in these pics than his usual smug grin, you can bet he’s pretty chuffed with himself, having just settled with ex Oksana Grigorieva for a mere $750k.

This comes a year after Oksana was rumoured to have turned down a $15million offer, saying she wanted to “see where the chips fall.”

Unfortunately for Oksana and daughter Lucia, it looks like the chips have fallen right into Mel’s lap, just as they did when he was caught drink-driving, or when he punched Oksana in the mouth. Must be nice having enough money to hire the best lawyers in town, eh?

The sum will be paid in instalments over the next three years, and Oksana and Lucia can remain in the house they live in, until Lucia turns 18, when the house will be sold and Lucia will receive the proceeds in a trust fund. 

The judge also ruled that neither Mel nor Oksana will be allowed to write any books or articles about their relationship, and that no further audio recordings can be released, which means we must make do with the ones released in 2010, whereupon Mel threatens to kill and bury Oksana, and calls her a bad-C-word.

If the rumours are true about the refused $15million offer, we’d bet Oksana is kicking herself right now.
