We initially thought it was odd that the highly talented Michael Fassbender was absent from the Oscar nomination list, although now we understand why the Academy suits shunned him. Guys, he likes to - shhhhhh - party. He likes to party at parties. Has no one ever told him that parties aren't for partying - even when it's your own party? Have you ever seen the chap from The Artist partying at his own party? Exactly. 

Despite the above picture showing merry ol' Fassbender being happily carried out of the A Dangerous Method premiere after party on Tuesday night, The Sun claims he was asked to leave after his 'high spirited' behaviour caused offence. This has been rubbished by fellow guests (who we're more likely to believe), but one source told the paper:

"Michael was politely asked to leave. He was in good spirits but it was becoming a bit of a handful for the other guests.

"He was grabbing his co-stars and waltzing around the room with them. He lit a a cigarette indoors and that was the point it had gone too far.

"He's a great actor and women loved him in 'Shame'. It might have something to do with him having his todger out for most of the movie."

Perhaps Fassbender will find everyone's minds when he's stumbling about in the gutter.

Meanwhile, the 34-year-old has described himself as a being like a hula hoop, telling Metro:

"My life continues how it is. It really is that simple. All this other stuff... it's kind of like the hula hoop.

"You know the hula hoop comes into fashion and everybody's doing the hula hoop and three years later it's that bouncing space hopper or the skateboard. So at the moment, an amount of attention comes my way but it is what it is."

We wonder which appendage he'd hula hoop from? Hmm, he probably wouldn't even need a space hopper...

Let Fassbender have a drink, everyone - he deserves it. He does look like fun, doesn't he? Fassbender should be able to do his party trick at every party.
