Following on from the news that Michael Lohan had been arrested on a domestic violence charge, he was released from jail on bail on the condition that he didn't contact the girlfriend he was alleged to have got physical with (apparently she wouldn't blow him). However, this is a Lohan so you know there's going to be more...

Just twelve hours after being bailed (surely not with Lindsay's Playboy fanny money?), E! Online reports that Michael Lohan is back in jail after breaking one of the conditions of his release - contacting his girlfriend, Kate Majors, the person he'd allegedly assaulted. 

According to reports, Major says the 51-year-old phoned her shortly after his release and she alerted cops, putting Lohan on speakerphone so they could listen and use it as evidence.

Apparently Lohan then tried to flee by jumping from his balcony into a tree, although fell awkwardly and complained that he'd broken his foot. He was then taken to Tampa General Hospital and arrested on charges of violating the stay-away order, resisting arrest without violence and contempt of court.

In local new footage, he can apparently be seen telling the camera crew:

"She [Major] keeps doing this...She needs help, she calls me and I'm the sucker. I called back, and I'm an idiot."

However, police disputed that account, telling E! News that there was no sign of an incoming call from her in his phone record.

Lohan also told the crew that Major, a tabloid reporter, makes her living in part by getting him in trouble.

Jesus, we didn't know she was a reporter. Hope Mr HM doesn't get any ideas. No scoop is worth that. Seriously, though - even if that is the case, why does he keep on giving her stories to run with? We don't mind because it gives us a break from having to write about his daughter (last seen also taking a tumble).
