Last summer was one of Pete Doherty's favourites. The sun was shining, the bees were buzzing, and people were still buying his music despite not really knowing why. In fact, the only sad thing that happened to him was having to go to prison for cocaine possession in a case that arose due to the suspicious death of a woman making a documentary about him. That was a bit of a bummer.

But, because he's a positive, happy-go-lucky kind of guy, Pete didn't let it affect him too much. In fact, just before he went to be sentenced for the crime of having some drugs, Pete managed to lob one up South African model Lindi Hingston, making her 100 times more pregnant than she'd ever been before.

Strangely, this was the very same Lindi Hingston who, back in 2007, successfully sued the NOTW after they claimed she had slept with the unkempt singer. Talk about ironic, eh readers!

Speaking to the South African Sunday Times about her now six week old child, Hingston had this to say:

“I wrote to him in prison. He wrote back saying he was over the moon,”

The sentence every parent hopes to hear from their child. Speaking of which, here's what the model's mother had to say about the whole affair:

“Initially it was a bitter pill to swallow that my daughter is in love with a drug-taker. But apparently he is charming, wellspoken, intelligent and writes the most beautiful poetry Lindi does not take drugs. She doesn’t even smoke.”

It sounds like these two are going to be ok, doesn't it, gang? In other news, we wonder how Lisa Moorish is doing? We wonder whether she ever has lunch with both Liam and Pete. Wouldn't that be nice?
