With this year's Steps reunion reopening old wounds and reigniting previously forgotten grudges and feuds, it only seems fair that S Club 7, a band with a lot less to hate each other about, would also want to give it a go.

Or at least, that's what we're being lead to believe by a 'source' who recently spoke to The Sun:

"S Club have seen what's happened to Steps and want a piece of it.

"They're hoping to make a TV show following their reunion, a tour and the release of an updated Greatest Hits album – just like Steps."

Before anyone jumps in feet first with "WTF! Fuck this shit, shit from the past, shit now, why more shit, shit shit?!" it's important to remember that not only did S Club have some of the best pop songs of the late 90s, but even if you're not a huge fan of their music, it's still exceptionally important that we get to see Paul again. He's bigger now. Much bigger. The Sun described him as having 'put on some timber' which, despite sounding like it was written by 19th century chimney sweep, is completely accurate.

Also, we spoke to Tina a little while ago and she was very nice, so chances are, Paul's sizeable tumtum aside, it would actually be good to see them again. Maybe the can fill the hole that The Saturdays never left. The question is, what have they been doing since we last saw them on TV? Well...

• Tina's been doing her dance and writing solo material.
• Jon's still looking for romance, albeit in slightly different places since coming out in 2010, as well as starring in several West End musicals including Jersey Boys.
• Paul's getting down on the floor, although apparently not for any sort of exercise, having been performing as S Club 3 with Bradley and Jo.
• While Hannah's screaming out for more (ooh hoo!) episodes of Primeval.
• Wanna see Bradley swing at your local student's union? Book S Club 3.
• Wanna see Rachel do her thing, well she's busy looking after her daughter Amelia, so you can't.
• Then we got Jo, she's got the flow, possibly due to continued stress over claims of racism made during her stint on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007.
