General irritant Taylor Momsen has taken a break from dancing around in her knickers with her ‘band’ to tell the world that she has quit acting. The world, in turn, responds with a shrug.

Apparently, Momsen decided to quit acting last year, probably assuming people would notice, but nobody did, so she had to point it out herself:

ELLE: And any acting projects planned?

Twatbag Momsen: I quit acting, actually. I quit Gossip Girl and now tour and am in a band and that’s pretty much all I want to do. Hopefully I’ll be able to only do that for the rest of my life.

Oh dear. It’s a bit like when you have a haircut, and nobody at work notices, isn’t it? Poor Taylor. Ah well, at least she has her super awesome music career. Her band, The Pretty Reckless, is soon to start touring with embarrassment-rock outfit Evanescence, which is great news for all those unhappy teenagers with biro-covered ‘journals’ and Hello Kitty hoodies, isn’t it?
