Sam Faiers, not actually writing it.Sam Faiers, not actually writing it.

Oh, come on.

We'll admit, it does get a bit tiring being down on things all the time. Not everything's that bad and sometimes we might go a bit far with someone who doesn't entirely deserve all the flak we give them. That's right, sometimes we're wrong. SOMETIMES WE'RE WRONG.

However, that said, some things genuinely are just worthless, unnecessary garbage. Take the proposed memoir of TOWIE regular Sam Faiers for instance:

"Simon & Schuster couldn’t be more excited about this book. We are all huge fans of the show, and of Sam’s, and having already had some great meetings, I know that we are going to have a lot of fun publishing a book perfect for every TOWIE fan."

Aren't biographies supposed to deal with interesting people? A book about someone from a show that is fundamentally based on its cast being naive, ignorant and fairly dim is completely ridiculous. Watching someone admit on a television programme that they don't know the capital of France is funny, if slightly moronic. Going out and buying a book about them is just plain fucking stupid on your part. Seriously, don't support this kind of mindless drivel.

Or, if you've got your heart set on the literary equivalent of a lobotomy, at least buy it on Kindle. At least then nothing (other than your sense of self worth) has to die.
