Can anyone explain exactly how the People's Choice awards are chosen? Everyone expects the Oscars, Globes, Baftas, Brits and all those other committee awards to be skewed in favour of friends and family, but surely when you call an awards the People's Choice there's got to be some element of transparency?

Apparently not, comrade. Once again, the People's Party is rife with corruption. How do we know such things? Ryan Reynolds' Green Lantern as best movie superhero. Even the worst, most corrupt awards panel would balk at trying to push that one through. Adam Sandler as best comedic movie actor? Is that ever, or just for Jack and Jill? It's starting to look like there was a deeper reason Katy Perry didn't turn up despite winning five awards*. Maybe she's more politically-minded than we ever suspected.
