Because we all went back in a time machine last night and woke up in 2002, Simon Cowell has been talking about the whole Gareth Gates/Will Young saga, saying the the Pop Idol winner shouldn't have won. And don't even get him started on Jessica Garlick or Rik Waller...

Talking on The Talent Show Story, which begins this Saturday on ITV1, Cowell said:

"I thought he was obnoxious, full of himself. I thought this will be interesting ['WILL' be interesting - haha us], you don't like me, I don't like you... and nothing's changed particularly.

"I still to this day can't watch the final back because I was really, really disappointed. I really liked Gareth and wanted him to win.

"I remember feeling it in my stomach, I felt sick, that's how much it affected me; it shouldn't but it did."

Katie Price felt Gates near her stomach too.
