Grab that eclair and savour every calorie because in August you will be able to get your greasy mitts on a truly licensed range of Mad Men clothing through Banana Republic, who are collaborating with official Mad Men costume designer Janie Bryant for a rather huge capsule collection.

Crammed to the chicken brick with cropped trench coats, full lined skirts and Biba-appropriate workwear, this range sums up what has made Betty Draper and Joan Holloway some of the most vibrant fashion icons of recent times.

Simon Kneen, the creative director of Banana Republic said these words between taking a long puff on a cigar and a swig of whisky:

"Working with Janie to gain a true understanding of the Mad Men look and feel was a delight. Janie as instrumental in helping us to achieve the series aesthetic and standard of authenticity with this capsule collection."

Sixties inspired styling is going to be one of the most popular trends come Autumn/Winter, for men and women, with debut designs already being displayed at some of the men's runways at Paris Fashion Week last week, with Burberry Prorsum, Mulberry and Alberta Ferrari showing some fantastic designs for women.

So, start thickening your heels because you'll need them for your best Christina Hendricks impression.

The line is due to hit US stores on 11 Aug, although will be available online the day before. Will they ship to the UK? They better do. A selection of the items below...
